View Printing Double-Sided in the Computer Lab
The printers in the 2nd floor computer lab have the ability to print duplex (on both sides of the paper) - saving countless trees and making you a better person. If you’d like to take advantage of this feature, follow the following instructions:
On a Mac:
* In the Printer dialogue menu, select your target printer;
* Click on the “Copies & Pages” drop-down menu;
* Click Layout;
* Click on Long Edge Binding next to the two sided printing option; and
* Click Print.
On a PC:
* Make sure the double-sided printing option is enabled on your computer:
* Click on Start-> Printers & Faxes;
* Right-Click on your printer and select Properties;
* Select the “Device Settings” tab;
* Scroll down to Expandable options (expand it if it’s collapsed);
* Click on “Duplex Unit”, select installed if it’s set to “not installed”; and
* Click OK.
* Select double-sided printing when sending a print job:
o on a PC: File->Print, then select your printer;
o Click on Preferences or Properties;
o Click on the Finishing Tab; and
o Make sure the “print on both sides” checkbox is checked.
Your printing should now be on both sides of the paper.
If you’d like that to be the default behavior:
* On a PC: Start-> Printers & Faxes;
* Right-Click on your printer and select Printing Preferences;
* Click on the Finishing Tab;
* Make sure the “print on both sides” checkbox is checked.
Now everything you print to that printer should come out double-sided.
