Policy, Opportunity, Women, Education, and Resources (POWER)
POWER supports a network of informed and active students around domestic and international policy issues that have particular significance to women. Â Our mission is to strengthen the LBJ community of politically engaged feminists by spending time together to discuss ideas and take action on important issues.Â
Recent and previous events include:
- V-Day awareness
- Women & Wine evenings
- Brown Bag lunch with Sarah Wheat, Executive Director, NARAL Pro-choice Texas
- Collaboration with other student groups to coordinate advocacy at LBJ on issues such as faculty recruitment and tenure, diversity training, and bringing speakers to campus
- Take Back the Night
